SLOVENIAN PRESS REVIEW LJUBLJANA, 16 November 1991 (STA)

Ljubljana, 16 November - DELO: A DOUBLE-FACED EUROPE - The measures which, with its economic consequences, are to punish and perhaps bring an disobedient Yugoslavia to its mind, have once again revealed Europe's double-face. Slovenia is, at least as far as the E.C. foreign ministers are concerned, still merely a part of Yugoslavia. Namely, how else to explain the fact that Slovenia has found itself in the tight-hold of economic sanctions together with those who have caused so much misfortune in this collapsing country, with those who, in negotiations to resolve the Yugoslav crisis, have not and do not want to show any readiness for compromise with Slovenia and Europe, writes Marjeta Šoštarič.
