Ljubljana, 23 August - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 24 August:
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl is scheduled to meet representatives of the Slovenian minority in Hungary ahead of his visit to Hungary on Thursday; at 12:30 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of the Information Society and the authorised representative for access to public information are to hold a joint press conference at noon to present the first year of the public information act.
MARIBOR - SDS leader Janez Jansa is to address the founding session of his party's workers' section, the Workers' Union; at 6 PM.
PTUJ - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi) is to address the press at 9 AM to outline its views on topical issues.
ZALEC - Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik is to travel to the central Slovenian town of Zalec for the beginning of this year's hop harvest.
LJUBLJANA - The Students' Organisation of the University of Ljubljana is to speak about higher education in the country at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The traditional "Night in Ljubljana's Old Town", a five-day event focusing on the Renaissance and Baroque features of the Slovenian capital, is to begin. (STA)
CELJE - The eighth "Veronika Award" for the best poetry opus is to be conferred as part of a poetry meeting held at Celje Castle.
MONACO, Monaco - Slovenian league champions Nova Gorica are scheduled to play Monaco in the return leg of the third round of qualifications for UEFA's Champions League; kick off at 8.45 PM. Monaco leads 3:0 after the first leg. (STA)
