ZSSS demands resignation of Slovenian government
Ljubljana, 19 November - The Council of the Alliance of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) considered at a session today the EC sanctions adopted in the Rome declaration of November 8. The sanctions will greatly affect Slovenia's economy, primarily its agribusiness sector, textile industry and farming. The ZSSS established that the Slovenian government is incapable of solving the current problems and therefore demands that it resigns. On its part, the Alliance will commit itself to settling the situation. It will strengthen ties with central trade union offices in Europe and ask them to intercede with their governments for the exemption of Slovenia from the sanctions. The Alliance will demand from the government to ensure financil aid to the economy from the budget.
