dr. Rupel on a tour
Ljubljana, 21 November - The Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, dr. Dimitrij Rupel, will visit Strassbourg on November 22. and 23., and will stay in the United States (Florida , New York) and Canada from November 24. till 28. In Strassbourg Dr. Rupel will meet Mr. Robert Badinter, the President of the international Arbitration Commission on Yugoslavia, on Friday, November 22. On Saturday, November 23., dr. Rupel will attend the international colloquy on "Nations, states and democracy in the edification of Europe" (9.00 am, Congressional Palace) and will stage a press conference at 5.30 pm at the Congressional Palace. On Sunday, November 24., he will leave for Miami, USA, where he will address the 23.rd national convention of the "American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies" (AAASS) on Monday, November 25., as well as attend a meeting with businessmen, organized by the Slovenian entrepreneur Mr. Milan Herzog. On Tuesday, November 26., dr. Rupel will arrive to New York where he will meet the Vice-secretary of the UNO, Mr. Virendra Dayal, and lecture at the Institute for Security East-West. On Wednesday, November 27., after arriving to Ottawa, he will meet the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Barbara McDougall, as well as the member of the Commission on Foreign Politics, Mr. Jessie Flis. dr. Rupel will also stage numerous meetings with the press and the representatives of various Slovenian associations and businessmen.
