Premiere League Players Going on Strike

Ljubljana, 1 September - Slovenia's premiere football league faces being put out of action by a players' strike after the Union of Professional Footballers of Slovenia (SPINS) announced Wednesday it was launching a strike. The union said its calls for the adoption of modern player protection standards were not being heeded by the Slovenian Football Association (NZS) and Premiere League Association.
