Schedule of Events for Thursday, 2 September

Ljubljana, 1 September - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 2 September:

GORNJA RADGONA - Agriculture ministers of the Central European Initiative (CEI) are to be received by Slovenian Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik at 5 PM at the international agriculture and food fair in Gornja Radgona. Also scheduled to pay a visit to the fair is President Janez Drnovsek. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene for a regular weekly session, discussing among other things the strategy of developing state administration services on the world wide web. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Liberal Democrats (LDS) are to hold a congress at noon to discuss the party's election manifesto. It will be followed by a party convention at 6 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Environment Ministry is to publicly present a draft of the new national programme on environmental protection at noon.

LJUBLJANA - CIPRA Slovenia, the Institute for the Protection of the Alps, is to present to the press the "Alpine Week - the Alps of the Future Generation", a campaign that will be underway between 22 and 25 September in Kranjska Gora.

MURSKA SOBOTA - The trial against five people charged with attempted murder of journalist Miro Petek is to resume.
