Ljubljana, 8 September - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 9 September:

LJUBLJANA - A three-day regular meeting of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) is to wrap up, with European Liberals focusing on the prospect Serbia-Montenegro has to join the EU. A panel to be attended also by Montenegro President Filip Vujanovic begins at 8:30 AM. (STA)

CELJE - As part of the 37th international trade fair, a business conference of the Central European Initiative (CEI) is to take place at 9 AM as Slovenia chairs the partnership this year. (STA)

LASKO - A two-day round-table debate about the funding of small and middle-sized companies in Slovenia is to open at 9:30 AM, organised by the Small Business Development Centre. Attendance of Economics Minister Matej Lahovnik. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Lamberto Zannier of the OSCE and the former US Ambassador to Slovenia Victor Jackovich are to discuss the role of the OSCE at an event dubbed "The OSCE Today and Tomorrow" at 5 PM. (STA)

CELJE - Slovenia's new strategy of development and how to implement it, is to be discussed by Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl at a panel organised by a club of business people from Celje at 5:30 PM.

NOORDWIJK, The Netherlands - A two-day informal meeting of EU health ministers is to begin, with the affect of the aging population on the health care systems to top the agenda. Slovenia's Health Ministry State Secretary Dorjan Marusic to attend.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of European Affairs Milan M. Cvikl and Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl are to meet the special coordinator of the Stability Pact for SE Europe Erhard Busek at 1:30 PM and 2 PM, respectively.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski is to present the latest data on poverty, unemployment and social exclusion in Slovenia. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Transport Minister Marko Pavliha is to host Slovak Minister of Transport, Post and Telecommunication Pavol Prokopovic. A statement to the press at 1:30 PM. (STA)

BRDO PRI KRANJU - A two-day conference of Slovenian architects and civil engineers from Slovenia and abroad is to open at 9 AM, organised by the Slovenian World Congress. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A two-day annual assembly of the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork is to begin.

LJUBLJANA - A weekly cabinet session; a news conference at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The 7th international puppet festival is to kick off, featuring 24 productions until 14 September.

LJUBLJANA - A news conference at 11 AM ahead of the 11th international festival Ex-ponto, to take place from 15 to 27 September.
