Some 7500 refugees in Opatija hotels
Opatija, 24 November - Six more hotels have been opened on the Opatija Riviera which will accommodate refugees from the war stricken regions. Eight hundred refugees have arrived in Opatija from Vukovar, 150 mothers with their children and expecting mothers, and some 300 from the region of Zadar. Some 150 refugees are waiting in the Social Service Center to be allocated lodgings, 800 refugees have found provisional accommodation with families from Opatija, while the remainder are staying in hotels. Forty hotels in the region of the Opatija Riviera, in which 7500 refugees have found provisional shelter, are open at the moment.
