More Cases for Courts, But Also Faster Resolving, Stats Show

Ljubljana, 10 September - In the first half-year of 2004 the courts have recorded 21,000 more cases than in the same period last year. Nonetheless, the number of solved cases also grew. Justice Minister Zdenka Cerar, presenting the figures on Friday, said that court backlogs are one of main obstacles in establishing the rule of law and gaining people's trust.
