Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 14 September

Ljubljana, 13 September - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 14 September:

BRDO PRI KRANJU - Interior ministers from the neighbouring countries and SE Europe are to attend the 4th regional conference on illegal migration and related crime, held by the interior ministries of Austria and Slovenia. The conference is scheduled to open at 11 AM and a press conference is to be held at 3 PM. (STA)

BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl is to pay an official visit to Serbia-Montenegro. He is to meet his Serbia-Montenegro counterpart Vuk Draskovic at 9:30 AM, Parliament Speaker Zoran Sami at 10:35 AM and President Svetozar Marovic at 2:30 PM, as well as senior Serbian officials. A meeting with Slovenian businessmen is also scheduled at 4:45 PM. (STA)

THOERL-MAGLERN, Austria - Interior ministers Rado Bohinc of Slovenia, Ernst Strasser of Austria and Giuseppe Pisanu of Italy are to sign an agreement on cooperation in the Austrian-based police centre Thoerl-Maglern. The ministers are to speak to the press at 9 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Government Office for Structural Policy and Regional Development is to hold a press conference at 11 AM at which Minister Zdenka Kovac and her team will present the office's achievements since the office's inception in January 2003. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The National Party (SNS) is to speak to the press at 1 PM about European structural funds allocated to Slovenia.

ZAGREB, Croatia - Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik is to attend the opening of the 80th Zagreb fair and participate in a debate on rural development.

CELJE - A debate about the position of small business after EU accession is to be held at the 37th International Trade Fair at 11 AM.

MARIBOR - A debate about stock market as an alternative to banks is to be held at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Environment Agency is to hold a press conference at 11 AM ahead of International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, 16 September.

GENERAL ELECTION 2004

LJUBLJANA - The Association of the Slovenian Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) is to speak to the press at 11 AM about its expectations for the parliamentary elections and further development of Slovenia. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The United List (ZLSD) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present its cooperation with NGOs.

LJUBLJANA - New Slovenia (NSi) is to present its economics agenda at a press conference at 11 AM.
