Shops Will Remain Open Sunday, for Now
Ljubljana, 15 September - Shops will be open this Sunday even if Slovenians decided in a referendum a year ago that shops should be closed Sundays, and despite their will being enacted by the parliament in amendments to the trade act taking effect today. This is because four retailers challenged the amendments at the Constitutional Court, which is yet to rule either way, and has ordered a temporary stay of execution.
