NEW YORK, United States - FM Ivo Vajgl is to be on a visit to the United States until 23 Sept to attend the 59th session of the UN General Assembly. On Monday, he is to meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov; together with his Afghan colleague Abdullah Abdullah, he is to sign an accord to establish diplomatic relations with Afghanistan; and meet Macedonian FM Ilinka Mitreva.
LJUBLJANA - Regional Development Minister Zdenka Kovac is to host a two-day conference on territorial cooperation and structural policy in Europe, sponsored by the office of the Austrian prime minister within the Interact community initiative. European Regional Policy Commissioner from Hungary Peter Balazs to attend; begins at 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Chair of the Finnish parliamentary EU affairs committee Jari Vilen is to meet a delegation of the parliamentary foreign policy and EU affairs committees, whereupon a statement to the press is scheduled for 11:45 AM. (STA)
SLOVENSKE KONJICE - The German company Schefenacker Grah Automotive is to hold a news conference at noon to present its new investment in Slovenia. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Director general of the Slovenian police Darko Anzelj is to speak about the police force's results and new projects at a news conference scheduled for noon.
PORTOROZ - A three-day conference about road safety and safety at work is to begin at 9 AM, to be attended by a number of experts from the EU and Slovenia's Interior Minister Rado Bohinc.
LJUBLJANA - LUPA, the 3rd festival of NGOs, is to begin under the slogan "Non-Governmental Window to Europe", until 23 September. A seminar on participatory democracy (EU institutions and their adequacy for cooperation with NGOs) is to begin at 9 AM. (STA)
