Mercator Boss Presents C Market Takeover; Greeted by Protests

Belgrade, 21 September - Shareholders of C Market, Serbia's leading grocery chain, will receive Mercator's offer for their shares by mail as early as this week, the chairman of Slovenia's leading retail chain told the press in Belgrade on Tuesday. The press conference was accompanied by a protest against the takeover that was staged by some 100 C Market employees.
