Ljubljana, 26 September - Schedule of events in the week from 27 September to 3 October:
MONDAY, 27 September
LJUBLJANA- Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl and Chamber of Commerce chair Jozko Cuk are to sign an agreement on sending a business representative to Slovenia's embassy in Russia's Moscow.
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) led by vice-president Wolfgang Roth will be visiting Slovenia and meeting Transport Minister Marko Pavliha.
LJUBLJANA - The 1st international conference on the management of the court will be launched. The participants will discuss the advantages of different management systems, the use of IT in the judicial system, financing of the courts, managing the courts during political unrest, research and coordination in court management. At the two-day conference over 20 experts from the US, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Russia, India, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia will address the participants. A press conference will be held on Tuesday.
VELENJE/CELJE - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski and State Secretary Lidija Apohal Vuckovic will discuss the implementation of the national programme for the protection of the elderly.
LJUBLJANA - An official ceremony will mark the official opening of the Ljubljana asylum centre.
KOPER - A ceremony will mark the start of daily publishing of paper Primorske novice.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - The tourism association of Slovenia is organising a conference for all representatives of tourism associations. Held on the World Tourism Day, the conference will address Slovenia's development and activities to mark the 100th anniversary of the association.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) will present its views and suggestions on Slovenia's development strategy at a press conference.
LJUBLJANA - Several events will mark the 100-anniversary of the birth of Slovenian writer Edvard Kocbek. At the official ceremony PM Anton Rop will address the participants at the Slovenian National Theatre Drama Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - A press conference will be held ahead of the 10th international festival of contemporary arts City of Women, to be held between 1 and 7 October.
MARIBOR - Slovenian National Theatre Drama Maribor will hold a press conference upon its 85th anniversary.

LJUBLJANA - The election authority will confirm the electoral rolls and hand them over to district electoral commissions.
TUESDAY, 28 September
LJUBLJANA - EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana will be paying a working visit to Slovenia. He is to meet President Janez Drnovsek, PM Anton Rop and his host, FM Ivo Vajgl.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl will be visiting the Court of Justice of the European Communities and the European Court of Auditors. As part of his visit, Cvikl is scheduled to meet Slovenian member of the Court of Auditors, Marko Ilesic, judge at the Court of First Instance, Verica Trstenjak, and representative of the Court of Justice, Vasilis Skuris.
LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek will speak about violation of children's rights at a press conference.
LJUBLJANA - The marketing association of Slovenia and the daily Finance are organising the 10th Marketing Forum.
LJUBLJANA - Marketing and media research company Cati will hold a press conference to speak of its expansion to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia, as well as its project Product Group Manager (PGM).
LJUBLJANA - Ljubljanski sejem, manager of the Ljubljana fair grounds, and IT company Infos will hold a press conference to discuss co-operation.
LJUBLJANA - The working group on language planning and policy at the parliamentary committee on culture, education, youth, science and sports will hold a conference on the strategy of language planning in Slovenia.

WEDNESDAY, 29 September
LJUBLJANA - FM Ivo Vajgl is to meet the Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission of the Organisation for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) Wolfgang Hoffman for a courteous visit.
LJUBLJANA - Representatives of the journalists' trade union and the employees are to meet and discuss the demands of the journalists. If the talks are not successful, journalists could go on strike on Sunday.
LJUBLJANA - FM Ivo Vajgl will receive credential of the new US Ambassador Thomas Bolling Robertson.
LJUBLJANA - State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Andrej Logar will receive credentials of Tunisia's Ambassador Mohamed Daouas.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian society for international relations will stage a lecture of Croatia's Ambassador to Slovenia Mario Nobilo entitled "15 Years of International Crisis Management and Post-conflict Rehabilitation in Former Yugoslavia: Lessons Learned".
THURSDAY, 30 September
THE HAGUE, The Netherlands - A two-day session of the EU justice and interior ministers will begin with participation of Slovenia's Justice Minister Zdenka Cerara and Interior Minister Rado Bohinc.
LJUBLJANA - The weekly government session.
BLED - The Constitutional Court and the Venice Commission will organise an international conference on the position of the constitutional courts after the EU accession. With participation of the chairs of constitutional courts from all ten EU newcomers, the conference plenary part will conclude on Friday.
LJUBLJANA - Head of the European Commission Representation Office in Slovenia Erwan Fouere will sign contracts for Phare Small Projects grants. The evaluation committee chose seven projects which will receive a total of EUR 250,000.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on international agreements will be organised by the National Council, the society for international relations and civil forum.
LJUBLJANA - The beginning of the two-day traditional festival for the senior citizens under the title "Seniors changing ourselves and the world for all generations". The festival will be opened by Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski.
LJUBLJANA - Ceremony by the Slovenian Railways at the launch of connection with Istanbul, called "East Express". Participating at the ceremony will be Transport Minister Marko Pavliha.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl will meet the head of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation, Karl-Johan Loennroth.
WASHINGTON, the US - A delegation led by Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is to participate in autumn session of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, running until 3 October.
LJUBLJANA - An international conference on crime, social control and postmodern processes will be organised by the Institute of Criminology at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law.
