Serbian Foreign Minister about relations with Slovenia

Ljubljana, 2 December - Today's Mladina published an interview with Vladislav Jovanović, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia, in which he also spoke about relations between Serbia and Slovenia. He stated that between Serbia and Slovenia there were never in history disagreements or conflicting interests. The Slovenian leadership evidently needed an enemy to justify its secession, and Serbia in this case was a victim of the circumstances. Jovanović believes that this artificial conflict will soon be forgotten and friendship between the two nations will be renewed. He also told that he had met several times with Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, and that between them they found a relationship of mutual understanding and respect.
