Board meeting of the Slovene Chamber of Economy

Ljubljana, 10 December - The measures taken by the EC Council of Ministers regarding the partial exclusion of Slovenia from the negative sanctions against Yugoslavia had a positive effect on exports to EC countries, excepting the products which are under ceiling regime. This was a conclusion reached at the today's board meeting of the Slovene Chamber of Economy. The European Community will extend all agreements signed with former Yugoslavia, so that all the cooperating republics will during the next year retain their quotas and ceilings. The Community will increase all 66 ceilings by 5%. It will be possible to make use of them according to the following principle: the one who first achieves exports is the one who may first utilize the favourable options. As a consequence, they proposed that Slovenian companies which export to these countries deepen their cooperation with their partners.
