Dr. Rupel assesses Slovenia's offer to the U.N. as untypical
Ljubljana, 13 December - "The deployment of United Nations peace-keeping troops on the territory of former Yugoslavia is currently not a topical issue and therefore, the offer extended by Slovenia for supplying the required services for these troops is no longer current," stressed the head of Slovene diplomacy, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at today's session of the Parliamentary Committee for International Relations. Slovenia would naturally give an affirmative reply to any U.N. request of this nature, but would at the same time demand special assurances, added Dr. Rupel.
