Kučan: Germany owes nothing to Slovenia

Ljubljana, 18 December - At the todays interview with the Slovenian president, the representatives of German and Austrian mass media, SAT 1, ARD, Der Standards and from the British, Reuter agency, were mostly interested in Slovenian-German relations, about which Kučan said: "Due to Germany's close association with Yugoslavia (it was Yugoslavia's biggest economic partner), it was the first to accurately judge the actual circumstances that existed in Yugoslavia. At present, it is not a matter of German recognition of new nations but more a recognition of different already established circumstances."
