Australian attitude towards the Yugoslav crisis unchanged

Sydney, 18 December - The recent decision by the European Community in Brussels has not effected a changed in Australian attitude towards the Yugoslav crisis. Australia will be among the first but not the first to recognize the independence of Slovenia and Croatia. However, talks with diplomats in Canberra lead to a conclusion that apparently Australia is not prepared to accept that all Yugoslav nationalities have a right to self-determination.
