SOFIA, Bulgaria - The OSCE Ministerial Council is to convene for its 12th session. Since Slovenia assumes the presidency of this 22-nation organisation as of 2005, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel will be chairing the ministerial on the final day the meeting, Tuesday. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The 30th annual conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA) is set to begin at 9 AM with a plenary debating how to increase competitiveness of the enlarged EU, which is to feature European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik, among others. The two-day conference is themed "Enlarged European Union: Challenges to International Business and Management". (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Newly-elected ministers of the Janez Jansa centre-right government will be formally taking over from their predecessors. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The UN's refugee agency, UNHCR, and NGO Klujc are holding a three-day regional conference on people trafficking.
LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to give a lecture on Slovenia's human rights record at 10 AM, while the United Nations Slovenia Association is to hold a ceremony at 6 PM on Human Rights Day. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A Bavarian police delegation is due to arrive for a two-day visit. Slovenian Police Chief Darko Anzelj and Bavaria's Waldemar Kindler are expected to make statements to the press on Tuesday.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - A two-day session of the EU's Council for Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Protection. Slovenia's Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Janez Drobnic is to join the meeting on the second day.
LJUBLJANA - A Food and Veterinary Office mission is to visit Slovenia to examine the monitoring of food facilities, animal infectious diseases and the system of control over animal origin products; until Friday.
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Statistics Office Irena Krizman is to sign a cooperation agreement with her Croatian counterpart Jakov Gelo at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The 11th session of the Slovenia-France committee for science and technology.
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre (RACVIAC), Brig. Gen. Stergios Papotis will be visiting the Slovenian Armed Forces Verification Centre.
LJUBLJANA - A two-day session of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference begins; attendance also expected by Apostolic Nuncio Santos Abril y Castello and representatives from the neighbouring countries. The conclusions are to be presented at a press conference on Tuesday.
LJUBLJANA - President of the United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) Borut Pahor is to speak to the press about topical issues; at noon.
