Annual Review of Slovenian Sports

Ljubljana, 9 December - An ever-swelling trophy cabinet is the best testament to another successful year for Slovenian sports. As always, there was no shortage of blood, sweat and tears at competitions involving Slovenian athletes. Four medals at the Summer Olympics in Athens, a silver medal for the men's national handball team at the European Championships, the dominance of Celje in handball's Champions League and the rebirth of the national football team are just some of the highlights of an action-packed 2004.
