VATICAN CITY, the Vatican - Ljubljana Archbishop and Slovenian Metropolitan Alojz Uran is to be received by Pope John Paul II. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign and European affairs committees are to discuss behind closed doors the positions of the Slovenian government to be represented at the EU summit in Brussels. Press statements by the chairs are expected at 1 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The head of the Slovenian Veterinary Administration Vida Cadonic Spelic is to speak to the press at 2 PM after a team of EU veterinary inspectors wraps up its visit to Slovenia. (STA)
TRIESTE, Italy - The coordinating body of the Slovenian minorities in Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia is to discuss the relations between the minorities and Slovenia after the parliamentary elections at a session at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) are to hold a peaceful rally at noon, drawing the attention to violations of workers' rights on Human Rights Day. The ZSSS president Dusan Semolic is to be received by Parliament Speaker France Cukjati. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Amnesty International Slovenia and the Ljubljana Faculty of Law are to hold a round table debate at 10 AM about the humanitarian crisis in Darfur to mark Human Rights Day.
