Parliamentary Agriculture Committee Discusses EU Sugar Reform
Ljubljana, 22 December - The EU sugar sector reform topped the agenda of Wednesday's session of the parliamentary agriculture committee, which unanimously backed the government's stance that the production of sugar beet in Slovenia should be protected. The committee in fact urged the government to do everything in its power to preserve sugar beet production in Slovenia and the country's only sugar plant, Tovarna sladkorja Ormoz.
