Ljubljana, 1 January - THE DELO: A PRESENTATION IN CONSPIRATION - The impressive Slovene delegation in Davos most clearly illustrates the importance our state ascribes to the establishment of economic ties as the only means of survival. The presentation of Slovenia as a promising area of trade would certainly have been more effective, had the organizers included the republic in the official programme of states and regions which had the opportunity of presenting their economies and plans at this year's political and business summit in Davos. The presentation of Slovenia definitely does not have the mark of the kind of public and comprehensively designed promotion campaign which would enable a new state to present the perspectives and capabilities of its economy to the world, wrote Božo Mašanovič in the Topic of the Day column.
