Yugoslav Army aircraft fired on European monitor's helicopter

Zagreb, 7 January - At 14:10 hours, in the region of Varaždin, shots were fired from a Yugoslav Army (YA) aircraft on two helicopters carrying European monitors. One of the helicopters carrying five members of the monitoring mission exploded near the village of Mađarevo, while the other one had to make an emergency landing. The report came from the operations headquarters of the Croatian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
