Vitalone has confirmed the granting of official recognition by January 15th

Rome, 8 January - Undersecretary of the Italian foreign Ministry Claudio Vitalone has confirmed that Italy will grant official recognition to "the republics that fulfill the conditions". He stated this in a special TV programme that followed the main nightly news and was devoted to the shooting down of the EC monitor's helicopter.
