A message from the Orthodox Church to the Serbian nation and a letter to the Pope

Belgrade, 19 January - The Holy Arch-Counsel of the Serbian Orthodox Church yesterday evening addressed a message to the Serbian nation and the international public and sent a letter to Pope John Paul II. In the letter, the Arch-Counsel expressed regret over what it calls the Pope's one-sided and unchristian attitude towards the ethnic, national and historical rights of the Serbian nation and its Christian dignity.
