Growing number of unemployed

Ljubljana, 20 January - The employment bureaus in Slovenia have last year registered 89,605 persons looking for employment, which is 59 per cent more than in the same month of 1990. As the Institute for Statistics of Slovenia informs, 9,239 new applications of unemployed persons came in November, which is the highest monthly increase in last year. Among employment seekers almost a half were women.
