Union Doubts Flexible Layoff Legislation Will Promote Job Creation
Ljubljana, 24 February - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) rejects the idea that flexible layoff practices would lead to greater job creation, an idea voiced by Labour Minister Janez Drobnic. "Curbing workers' and social rights will not create more jobs; efforts to strengthen competitiveness will," ZSSS president Dusan Semolic told the press Thursday.
