Kranjska Gora: Palander in the Lead After 1st Run

Kranjska Gora, 26 February - Kalle Palander of Finland is in the lead coming into the second run of the men's World Cup giant slalom event in Kranjska Gora on Saturday. Palander, who was the first to ski down the piste, finished in a time of 1:13.45, 0.28 seconds ahead of two-time Kranjska Gora giant slalom winner Bode Miller of the US. Austria's Hermann Maier is third, 0.3 seconds behind the leader. The second rund gets underway at 12:30 PM local time.
