Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 1 March

Ljubljana, 28 February - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 1 March:

LJUBLJANA - The former European Commission President Romano Prodi is to meet President Janez Drnovsek, PM Janez Jansa (11:30 AM), and the opposition leader Anton Rop. Rop and Prodi are to make a statement to the press at 9:30 AM, while Drnovsek will take this opportunity to decorate Prodi with an Order of Extraordinary Merit at 12:45 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to present the economic policy agenda for 2005 at a news conference due at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Transport Minister Janez Bozic and his aides are to present the transport ministry's programme of priorities for this year at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Janez Drobnic is to outline a programme of active employment policy measures for 2005, for which the ministry has nearly SIT 21bn (EUR 87.6m) at its disposal; at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Development plans and problems of the port operator Luka Koper are to be in the focus of an event organised by the National Council, the upper house of parliament, at 3 PM.

LJUBLJANA - State Secretary Marcel Koprol, who is in charge of European affairs in the prime minister's office, is to receive Turkish Ambassador to Slovenia Balkan Kizildeli.

LJUBLJANA - Insurance company Slovenica is to present 2004 results and plans for this year at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LENDAVA - The company Nafta Lendava, Slovenia's only oil refinery, is to outline its bankruptcy protection at a news conference at noon. (STA)
