Ljubljana, 3 March - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 4 February:
NEW YORK, United States - The OSCE chair, FM Dimitrij Rupel, is to begin a several-day visit to the US. On the first day, he is to address the UN Security Council (10 AM local time) and meet UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (noon local time).(STA)
KRSKO - The Slovenian-Croatian commission overseeing the implementation of the bilateral accord on the joint management of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) is to meet at 1 PM to endorse a NEK decommissioning plan. A press conference is scheduled for 3 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to present this year's government priorities as covered by his department at a news conference scheduled for 11 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Proposed working permit quotas for 2005 and Slovenia's priorities in the EU council for this year are to be discussed by the Economic and Social Council, a body associating social partners, at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to discuss Slovenia's platforms for three upcoming sessions of the EU council (competition, 7 Mar; economic and financial affairs, 8 Mar; environment, 10 Mar); at 2 PM.
CELJE - Several Slovenian MEPs are to take part in a round-table debate on the opportunities the EU offers Slovenia, organised by the the Zlatorog club of business people at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati is to receive representatives of the Slovenian minority organisations in Austria at noon.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) is to talk to the press about the procedure for nominating judges at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - A seminar on the course of criminal proceedings in Slovenia is to begin at 9:45 AM; press conference at 1 PM.
KRANJ - Slovenia will play Ivory Coast in the 1st round of the Davis Cup, Euro-African Group 2. The first rubber starts at 2 PM.
