A new step towards the full membership of Slovenia in the European Council

Ljubljana, 25 January - The representatives of the majority and of the opposition in the Slovenian Parliament, Matjaž Šinkovec and Borut Pahor respectively, reported upon their return from Paris today that the Committees of the European Council for Political Issues and for Non-Member States have given their assent to the proposal that the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council confer the status of special guest on Slovenia.
