KOPER - FM Dimitrij Rupel and the Croatian, Macedonian, Serbia-Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina diplomats based in Slovenia are to discuss Slovenia's role in the EU as a bridge towards SE Europe at a panel scheduled for 5 PM and hosted by the Faculty of Humanities. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Peace Institute, a Ljubljana-based independent research institute, is to hold a public debate to asses the first 100 days of the new government in office; at 7 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) is to outline its position on the proposals to introduce a flat tax rate in Slovenia at 11 AM.

TRIESTE, Italy - A book on the Slovenian minority in Italy and its legal status in the period from 1866 to 2006 is to be discussed at an event organised by two minority organisation and a Slovenian research centre; at 7 PM.
PORTOROZ - The 14th Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) is to open at 8:30 PM. The festival, focusing on "responsible advertising", closes on Friday with an award-winning ceremony.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Composers Association is to talk to the press at 1 PM ahead of its 60th anniversary.
