New Antitobacco Law in Slovenia waits till Autumn
Ljubljana, 31 August - SLOVENIA/LAW/TOBACCO
Slovene National Assembly (DZ) passed a law on banning the use of tobacco products on June 23, but national councillors vetoed the law on June 29 on the grounds of their opinion that it should impose more severe restrictions on tobacco products advertising. At its second voting on July 19, DZ rejected, according to some MPs, the too liberal law.
