Optimism Subdued Ahead of Consensus Conference

Vienna, 12 March - Representatives of the Slovenian minority and the authorities in Austria are expected to sit at the negotiating table on Sunday to find a solution for disputed bilingual signposts in the province of Carinthia. This will be the second "consensus conference": the first one ended in failure in 2002, so expectations are accordingly modest.
