Ljubljana, 14 March - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 15 March:

LJUBLJANA - The Statistics Office is to present preliminary GDP growth figures for the fourth quarter of 2004 and the whole of last year at a news conference at 10:30. (STA)

BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro - Speaker of the Slovenian Parliament France Cukjati will continue his three-day visit with the meetings with Serb President Boris Tadic, PM Vojislav Kostunica and Speaker Predrag Markovic. He is due to travel on to Podgorica in the evening. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Uzbek President Islam Karimov is scheduled to begin a three-day official visit to Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - Two parliamentary committees are to meet at 2 PM as part of preparations for a session of the European Parliament committee for economic and monetary affairs with representatives of national parliaments. The session, due on 25 April, is to discuss a reform of the Stability Pact. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A conference is to examine the role of IT in business and present a survey on the link between IT and productivity in Slovenian firms. Top managers and bankers are to take part in three round tables. The event will be opened by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak at 9 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A two-day seminar on intellectual property is to be staged by the EU's Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Unit in association with the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organisation; at 9:15 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A seminar on political and economic processes in Latin America is to be organised at 3 PM by the Slovenian Association of International Relations and the Centre for Latin America. Addresses by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk, who spent most of his life in Argentina, and EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere. (STA)

JERUSALEM, Isreal - Education and Sports Minister Milan Zver is to begin a two-day visit to Israel to attend, on behalf of the president of Slovenia, the opening of the new Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum. Zver is also due to meet his Israeli counterpart Limor Livnat.

GENEVA, Switzerland - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a session of the UN Human Rights Committee. On the margin of the session, he is to meet his Armenian counterpart Vartan Oskanian and ICRC director general Jakob Kellenberger.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - A two-day conference of EU ministers responsible for housing policy is to end; attended by Slovenian Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik.

CAIRO, Egypt - A two-day session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly which is examining the ties between the EU and the non-EU Mediterranean countries is to end; attended by a Slovenian parliamentary delegation.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council and the Slovenian Tourist Board are to stage a debate on the implementation of Slovenia's tourism strategy at 10 AM.

CELJE - Slovenia's third largest retailer, Engrotus, is to present its business results and development plans at a news conference at 11 AM. (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - The reigning Slovenian and European handball champions, Celje Pivovarna Lasko, will be in the draw for the semi-final matches in the European Champions League at 11 AM.
