Slovenia Imports More Electricity Due to Trouble in Šoštanj Plant
Ljubljana, 2 September - SLOVENIA/ELECTRICITY/IMPORT
Slovenia imports 10 million kilowatt hours of electricity daily, starting with Tuesday, after the fifth block of the Šoštanj steam power plant stopped operating this Monday due to trouble on the generator. This means that Slovenia covers one third of its daily needs with import, Iztok Zalaznik of the Elektro Slovenija public company told STA.
