LJUBLJANA - Continuing its monthly session for March, the National Assembly is set to debate the government's draft declaration on guidelines for Slovenia's EU activities in 2005. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Trans-Atlantic cooperation and Slovenia's chairmanship of the OSCE are expected to top the agenda as US Deputy State Secretary Robert Zoellick visits Slovenia. Zoellick is due to meet Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Prime Minister Janez Jansa as part of his one-day visit. Rupel and Zoellick are due to talk to the press at 12:30 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The University of Ljubljana is to present honorary doctorates to Nobel-winning economist Lawrence R. Klein and world-renowned linguist and thinker Noam Chomsky at 11 AM. The pair are to be received by President Janez Drnovsek at 1 PM. Later in the day, Klein is to deliver a lecture at the Law Faculty (3 PM), while Chomsky will speak at the Cankarjev dom arts centre (5:30 PM). (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Major General Ladislav Lipic, the army Chief of Staff, is to begin a two-day visit to the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Powers Europe at the invitation of NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe James Jones.
LJUBLJANA - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to present the state-of-affairs at the Interior Ministry at a press conference scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to present the state-of-affairs at the Environment Ministry at a press conference scheduled for noon. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Agency or Agricultural Markets and Rural Development, Sonja Bukovec, is to speak to the press about direct agricultural payments for this year.
LJUBLJANA - The junior coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to present its priorities following the first 100 days of the government.
LJUBLJANA - The Boat and Travel Sho, featuring 134 exhibitors froms 19 countries, is to get underway at the Ljubljana Fairgrounds. The fair is scheduled to be opened by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak.
POCEK - Members of the Slovenian army and US Air Force are to take part in joint search and rescue exercise, Adriatic Rescue 2005. The exercise is set to be held in two parts: the first will start on Tuesday and last until Thurdsday; the second will begin on 4 April and run through 7 April.
