Ljubljana, 29 March - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 30 March:

LJUBLJANA - The EU Committee of the Regions President Peter Straub is to begin a two-day visit, to meet several officials, including President Janez Drnovsek and State Secretary in charge of EU affairs Marcel Koprol; a statement to the press at noon. (STA)

YEREVAN, Armenia/TBILISI, Georgia/BAKU, Azerbaijan - FM Dimitrij Rupel, who is also OSCE chairman, is to set out on a tour of the Caucasus during which he is to visit Armenia (Thu), Georgia (Fri) and Azerbaijan (Sat). Prior to that, the OSCE chairman is to make a stop in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday to meet the Kyrgyz interim leadership. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - State Secretary in charge of EU affairs Marcel Koprol is to meet the director of the European Agency for Reconstruction Richard Zink to discuss the EU assistance programmes for Serbia-Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo; at noon.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar is to meet Commissioner for Regional Policy Danuta Huebner and Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Major General Ladislav Lipic, the army Chief of Staff, is to wrap up a two-day visit to the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Powers Europe, where he was invited by NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe James Jones.

LJUBLJANA - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to hold a news conference at 11:30 AM to present the state of affairs at the ministry. (STA)

MORAVSKE TOPLICE - A joint Slovenian-Croatian commission for transport is to meet for a two-day talks on bilateral cooperation.

LJUBLJANA - The tourism and chemical group Sava is to present its business plans at a news conference at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) is to hold an assembly at 11 AM to adopt the 2005 financial plan.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Education and Sport Milan Zver is to assess the state of affairs at the ministry at a news conference at 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A two-day seminar on the Slovenian educational strategy, organised by the Ministry of Education and Sports and the European Commission, is to begin at 10 AM.

CELJE - Slovenia's football team are to face Belorussia in Group 6 of the 2006 World Cup qualifications at 8:15 PM. (STA)
