Rupel Calls for Akayev Era to End Formally
Bishkek, 31 March - Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Dimitrij Rupel said in the Kyrgyz capital on Thursday that Kyrgyzstan should hold elections as soon as possible in order to formally end an era of the deposed president Askar Akayev. Rupel highlighted though that the new leadership should maintain dialogue with Akayev in order for him to resign.
