Turkey recognized the independence of four republics of former Yugoslavia

Skopje, 7 February - The President of the Turkish government Turgut Ozal sent a statement to the Yugoslav Ambassador in Ankara Trajan Petrevski informing him that Turkey has officially recognized Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Macedonia.
