MONDAY, 4 April

        BELGRADE/PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - The OSCE chair, FM Dimitrij Rupel, is to start a two-day visit to Serbia-Montenegro.
        LONDON, Great Britain - Head of the Government Office for European Affairs, Marcel Koprol, is to hold talks with EU affairs advisor to the prime minister Kim Darrooch, head of preparations for Britain's EU presidency Chris Sainty and Minister for Europe Denis MacShane.
        LJUBLJANA - Major General Ladislav Lipic, the army chief of staff, it to talk to the press about the first year of NATO membership.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - The European Parliament's provisional committee for the 2007-2013 budgets is to meet with representatives of national parliaments.
        LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana Faculty of Economics is to host a round-table on industrial design and the feasibility of establishing a centre of excellence.
        LJUBLJANA - Churches around Slovenia are to host special prayer sessions for the late Pope John Paul II.

TUESDAY, 5 April

        MARIBOR - A round-table debate on who instigates intolerance is to be attended by Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek.
        MARIBOR - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan, as well as representatives of all three Slovenian universities, are to attend a round-table on quality in higher education organised by MEP Ljudmila Novak.
        MANAMA, Bahrain - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar is to attend a ministerial of the EU/Gulf Cooperation Council.
        SOSTANJ - The Premogovnik Velenje coal mine is to present current business figures and outline an agenda of activities at the celebration of the coal mine's 130th anniversary.
        TRIESTE, Italy - A round table on joint representation of Slovenians in Italy organised by the Council of Slovenian Organisations and the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Union.
        LJUBLJANA - The Association of Retail at the Chamber of Commerce, along with the Intellectual Property Office, is to stage a forum on copyright legislation and the corporate sector.
        GORNJA RADGONA - The opening of the 18th international construction fair, Megra. To be attended by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak.
        PORTOROZ - The beginning of a two-day conference of energy managers, to be attended by Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik.
        LJUBLJANA - The Writers' Association is to host a debate with Evangelical Lutheran Bishop Geza Ernisa.

WEDNESDAY, 6 April

        LJUBLJANA - US Ambassador Thomas B. Robertson is to give a lecture entitled "The USA and Europe: A Democratic Partnership in Action", an event organised by Euro-Atlantic Council Slovenia and Society for International Relations.
        LJUBLJANA - The Government PR and Media Office and the Small Business Development Centre will present tenders for development funds.
        LJUBLJANA - The Public Health Institute is to stage a press conference to mark World Health Day. Health Minister Andrej Brucan is expected to attend.
        LJUBLJANA - Retail chain Spar is to present business results for 2004 and plans for this year.
        MURSKA SOBOTA - The Housing Chamber is to organise a seminar entitled "Housing, Citizens and the State".

THURSDAY, 7 April

        LJUBLJANA - Swedish Defence Minister Leni Bjoerklund is to pay a two-day visit to Slovenia.
        HELSINKI, Finland - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to take part in a Council of Europe conference of justice ministers.
        LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.
        SEVNICA - A round-table debate on the construction of power plants on the lower Sava river.
        PORTOROZ - The start of a two-day meeting of managers, organised by the Association Manager.
        LJUBLJANA - The opening at the Ljubljana City Gallery of an exhibition of prints by German Nobel Prize einner for literature Guenther Grass.

FRIDAY, 8 April

        LJUBLJANA - The British Embassy, the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance are to organise a seminar on public-private partnership.
        LJUBLJANA - World Roma Day. The Ethnology Museum is to stage a round-table debate entitled "Views of Roma Culture".
        PORTOROZ - A debate on workers' participation in corporate profits in the EU, and the possible introduction of such a system in Slovenia, is to be debated as part of the spring meeting of the Association of Managers.

SATURDAY, 9 April

        MURSKA SOBOTA - The central celebration of World Roma Day, organised by the Slovenian Roma Association.
        BARCELONA, Spain - Celje Pivovarna Lasko are to take on Barcelona in the return leg of the European Handball Champions League semi-final.
