Health of Mothers and Children in the Focus of World Health Day

Ljubljana, 6 April - While data about death rate among babies in Slovenia is encouraging, as the figure halved in the past 15 years, preliminary data about the maternal death rate over a ten year period are cause for concern, as they are worse than the EU average. This is what the Institute of Public Health said on the occasion of this year's World Health Day, dedicated to the health of mothers and children.
