Ljubljana, 6 April - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 7 April:
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session, discussing the National Development Strategy and the spring economic forecasts. A press conference is scheduled for after the session at 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Swedish Defence Minister Leni Bjoerklund is to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia in the afternoon upon the invitation of her Slovenian counterpart Karl Erjavec. A statement to the press scheduled for Friday.
PORTOROZ - A two-day meeting of managers, organised by the Association Manager, is to get underway. The event is to be preceded by a press conference at 1:30 PM. A round table on Slovenia's place in the Lisbon Strategy is to take place at 4:30 PM. The award for the best young manager is to be presented at 8 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to hold a press conference at 10 AM to speak about some current affairs and established irregularities.
LJUBLJANA - The deputy group of the opposition National Party (SNS) is to speak about what it calls "the ongoing unresponsiveness of Slovenia's politics to aggressive acts of Croatian authorities on what is undisputedly Slovenian territory"; at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati is to address participants of a conference discussing parliament and globalisation from the aspect of national parliaments in the EU at 3 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Problems faced by the Slovenian ethnic minority in Austria's Carinthia and Styria are to be discussed by the parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad at 2 PM.
HELSINKI, Finland - Slovenian Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is attending a conference of Council of Europe ministers of justice, which opens on Thursday evening; through Friday.
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive representatives of the Roma Association of Slovenia ahead of World Roma Day, 8 April, at noon.
LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to present his address to the public on World Health Day; at 1 PM.
GROSUPLJE - The 11th world sniffer dog competition is to begin at 4:30 PM. Over 40 dogs from 17 countries are to take part. Runs through Sunday.
