Hauliers Unhappy with Fines, Ministry Urges Patience

Ljubljana, 11 April - Slovenian hauliers staged a drive-through protest in Ljubljana on Monday and urged the authorities to do something about steep fines that they say have hobbled their competitiveness. The Transport Ministry has acknowledged that the fines are a problem, but said the protest was unnecessary since a special working group examining the problem is making good headway.
