Ljubljana, 12 April - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 13 April:

WARSAW, Poland - President Janez Drnovsek is to start a two-day official visit to Poland at the invitation of his Polish counterpart Aleksander Kwasniewski. Talks are expected focus on bilateral cooperation within the EU and the OSCE, as well as the situation in the Western Balkans, Iraq and the reform of the United Nations. Drnovsek will be accompanied by one of the strongest business delegations ever to accompany the president on a foreign visit. A press conference between Drnovsek and Kwasniewski is scheduled for 4:15 PM. (STA)

PIRAN/KOPER - The government is to visit the Slovenian part of Istria and the region of Kras. The visit to the western region of Slovenia will include meetings with local politicians, businessmen and the Italian national minority. Prime Minister Janez Jansa is also scheduled to visit the Primorsko University and port operator Luka Koper, while several ministers are due to visit the Lipica Stud Farm. Jansa is to speak to the press at 3 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to hold a closed-doors session to debate government standpoints for upcoming EU ministerial meetings. Committee chair Anton Kokalj is to present the conclusions to the press at 3 PM. (STA)

KOPER - A visiting delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, headed by its vice-chairman Chen Kuiyuan, is due to visit port operator Luka Koper.

LJUBLJANA - Deputy Defence Minister of the Czech Republic Jarmila Pribylova is due to visit Slovenia. She is scheduled to meet Defence Ministry State Secretary Franci Znidarsic.

BUDAPEST, Hungary - A delegation of the parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad is to continue a three-day visit to Hungary by meeting Hungarian government officials.

LJUBLJANA - The acting director general of the police Bojan Potocnik is to receive the next rotation of Slovenia police officers headed for the international peace-keeping efforts in Kosovo; at noon.

PELEC, Hungary - Representatives of the Civil Protection and Disaster Relief training centre are to take part in a meeting of working group of the partnership that brings together Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Italy and Croatia.

BRNIK - The national flag carrier Adria Airways is to present last year's operating results as well as plans for 2005 at 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce is to host a debate on the position of the textile, clothing and leather industry at 9:30 AM. A press conference is scheduled for 11:15 AM.

PORTOROZ - A three day symposium on modern methods in accounting, finances and auditing is to get underway.

PORTOROZ - The 12th annual Days of IT are to begin.

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to host a meeting with young people entitled "Spring Day in Europe".

LJUBLJANA - A press conference is to be held ahead of the 19th Congress of the European Athletics Association; at noon.
