Weekly Review of Slovenian Business & Economy from 9 to 15 April

Ljubljana, 17 April - Dissatisfied with "excessive traffic fines", hauliers began the week by blocking transport in the capital of Ljubljana. The protest drive through the city centre was not in vain, as a deal to lower the fines was reached with the government in two days. In a busy week, the government continued its visits to Slovenian regions by heading for south Primorsko, where it adopted guidelines for a supplemented 2005 budget. The week was also marked by a record rise in fuel prices.
