Parliamentary Committees Back Romania, Bulgaria's EU Bid

Ljubljana, 20 April - Romania and Bulgaria's entry into the EU was backed on Wednesday by the parliamentary foreign policy and EU affairs committees. A target date for membership is 1 January 2007, yet it could be put off by a year if either country does not meet the required criteria.
