Mayor Resigns in Protest Over Nuclear Repository Bid

Lenart, 23 April - The mayor of a tiny Slovenian municipality has resigned in protest over the decision of the municipal council to bid for the site of a nuclear waster repository. Accepting his resignation, the municipal council of Trnovska vas also decided to withdraw its bid.
